Stephen “Mike” Barker
I have dabbled in photography since 1960. I taught Science for 33 years and for that time my photographs were color slides. My captive audience of students watched countless slide shows on the geology of the national parks. The computer changed things when I bought PS2 although I had to wait for a digital camera. Since retiring in 2003 I have been exploring the possibilities of digital photography. I am not a professional but I have had some success in local, regional and national contests. I enjoy pushing the
camera to record things that I cannot see. I have collections of high speed impacts, water drops and splashes plus light painted objects.
